To promote professionalism in teaching and learning whilst at the same time, playing leading roles in the knowledge capital building, empowerment and industrial harmony in the public and private sectors of the economy.


“NIMDIR believes on human capital and industrial peace as vital ingredients of development in any economy.  In order to achieve the desired competitiveness, knowledge would of necessity be transmitted or transfused from the professional to the non-professional; the developed to the underdeveloped; the literate to the illiterate”.


The principal objectives of the Institute are to:

  • Develop manpower skills and other competencies, required for optimal performance of employees.
  • Provide facilities for interested persons to meet and discuss broad human capital and industrial issues, practices and problems.
  • Conduct result oriented research for Organizations in the public and private sectors.
  • Liaise with the appropriate bodies for the purpose of maintaining industrial peace and harmony
  • Promote functional education in Africa and the other continents of the world.
  • Provide though meetings, conferences, seminars, symposium and printed materials, information, discussions, and comments on the broad aspect of business and industrial practices.
  • Conduct professional examinations and organize continuing education programs in an effort to maintain standards of professional practices in the public and private sectors of the global economy.
